Man Utd star Luke Shaw reveals what there is ‘always arguments about’ at Old Trafford | Football | Sport

Manchester United star Luke Shaw has named Scott McTominay as the strongest player at Old Trafford. And he also opened up on who would win in a straight race between Marcus Rashford and Daniel James – something that there’s ‘always arguments about’.

Manchester United star Shaw was once-regarded as one of the quickest players at the club.

But the player himself believes that Daniel James and Marcus Rashford are speedier – and that the Wales international would win in a direct race.

And, amusingly, he admitted that it’s a hot topic of discussion within the Old Trafford dressing room.

“This one is funny because there is always arguments about this,” Shaw told SoccerAm.

“The lads are always bickering about who is quicker.

“We were all going to have a 100m race one time but we decided it wouldn’t be a good idea in case someone pulls up.

And, afterwards, he added: “Yeah maybe. He’s quite tall and strong – he can use his arms.

“He’s big. He loves the gym to be honest.

“He’s always in the gym and loves looking at himself in the mirror so that’s why I’d put him down as the strongest.

“He does it as a joke obviously but secretly he loves his body.

“I would have said him.”

Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Shaw hailed United new boy Bruno Fernandes for his fine star to life at Old Trafford.

“He’s had a massive impact,” he told MUTV.

“He’s only been here for such a short time but it feels like he’s been here for a while.

“You can tell he was a leader at Sporting and I think he wants to bring that leadership skill here to help the team as much as he can off the pitch as well as on it.

“Hopefully he can keep that up, he’s not been here long but he’s already shining for us and it’s great to see.”
